Blogging is a quick, simple way for students to get their ideas published to the Internet quickly. Blogging has become a journalistic tool, lacking the constraints of editorial, technical, and time constraints. Blogging is an authentic way for students to have their ideas and writing shared with an authentic audience, which promotes students to write more, in greater detail, and taking greater care with spelling, grammar, and punctuation when they are writing because they know that people other than their teachers and parents will read it. Finally, blogging encourages students to communicate and gain feedback on their ideas with their peers.
